The existing Peabody Public Services Department (PSD)
Facilities at Berry Street in the downtown area has several
issues. It is in need of extensive rehabilitation, the site is not
central to all of Peabody, and the layout is not efficient or fully
adequate to PSD operations. Likewise, the existing Peabody Recreation,
Parks & Forestry Department (RP&F) facilities are divided
inconveniently among separate locations and are inadequate to meet
RP&F's operational needs. Consequently, the City of Peabody's
Office of Community Development engaged DiMarinisi &Wolfe in association
with Gordon, Bua & Read, Inc., to study a new combined PSD and
RP&F facility. |
